Practice Director/Program Lead (MedTech)

Location: Hybrid remote in Bedford, New Hampshire, USA; remote work is optional for the right candidate.

What you will do

• Lead major client programs as the senior technical leader and trusted advisor from requirements through launch.
• Guide systems architecture, systems thinking, and key engineering decisions across complex multidisciplinary programs.
• Partner with Program Managers on scope, budget, schedule, risk, and delivery.
• Build relationships with engineering stakeholders, VPs, CTOs, and other executives.
• Lead cross-functional teams across software, systems, electrical, mechanical, industrial design, human factors, cloud/data, cybersecurity, and verification and validation.
• Serve as Practice Director for one or more technical domains while contributing to proposals, account strategy, client growth, methods, standards, and team development.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience developing medical devices, diagnostics, or other regulated healthcare products.
• Senior technical leadership experience at the Director, Senior Director, or VP level.
• Proven success leading large, cross-functional product development programs.
• Strong systems thinking, architectural judgment, and experience with software-intensive or platform-oriented development.
• Strong executive presence, client-facing skills, and business judgment.
• Interest in mentoring and building a high-performance team.

Nice to have

• Experience in engineering services, consulting, or outsourced product development.
• FDA Class II and/or Class III product experience.
• Background in connected devices, digital health, diagnostics, or software-enabled medical systems.
• Experience contributing to account growth or strategic client expansion.
