TL;DR

Meeting and Events Manager: Own the full lifecycle of in-person, hybrid, and virtual meetings, conferences, trainings, summits, and tradeshows with an accent on venue sourcing, vendor negotiations, and attendee experience. Focus on budgeting, sponsorship growth, ROI reporting, cross-functional coordination, and mentoring a coordinator.

Location: Hybrid (must live within reasonable commuting distance to Golden, Colorado and be able to work onsite; occasional nights, weekends, and travel required)

Salary: $97,000 - $115,000

hirify.global is a nonprofit organization serving as the communication link to prevent damage to underground utilities during excavation projects.

What you will do

  • Manage full events lifecycle including strategy, planning, budgeting, execution, and post-event analysis for conferences, trainings, networking, and tradeshows.
  • Source venues, negotiate with vendors for A/V, catering, transportation, and handle contracts, insurance, and safety.
  • Build project plans, timelines, and coordinate cross-functional teams for setup, day-of operations, and teardown.
  • Operate event tech and registration platforms like Cvent, Eventbrite, Whova for communications, check-in, surveys, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with marketing on attendance, sponsorships, and ROI tracking; maintain events calendar and budgets.
  • Mentor and manage a Meetings & Events Coordinator.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, event management, marketing, or related (or equivalent experience)
  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) or similar certification
  • 7+ years in meetings/events management, including medium-to-large conferences and multi-event portfolios
  • Experience increasing attendance and sponsorship revenue; strong contract, insurance, and risk management.
  • Proficiency in event platforms (Cvent, Eventbrite, Whova) and virtual tools (Zoom, Teams).
  • Budget ownership, financial analysis, ROI reporting; people leadership and cross-functional team management.
  • Excellent communication, detail-oriented, ability to handle confidential info.

  • Experience in nonprofit or public-safety environments.
