TL;DR

Supervisor IT (Epic Revenue Cycle): Responsible for day-to-day operations of IT staff, professional development, HR duties, and coordination of design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of Epic Revenue Cycle systems with an accent on leadership and customer solutions. Focus on problem resolution, system management, project coordination, and ensuring patient safety and confidentiality.

Location: Hybrid in Morgantown, West Virginia, United States. May require travel to other WVUHS facilities and on-site on-call response as per department policy.

What you will do

  • Lead daily operations, professional development, and HR tasks for IT team including performance reviews, timecards, and hiring assistance.
  • Oversee problem identification, resolution, testing, and documentation for production issues and system outages.
  • Manage system performance, vendor evaluations, RFP activities, and department budget reviews.
  • Coordinate projects, assign resources, develop test plans, and handle upgrades for Epic and related applications.
  • Build team through onboarding, training, process improvements, and leading meetings.
  • Mentor staff, facilitate training, and participate in strategic planning for healthcare IT initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, computer science, business, informatics or related + 3 years IT experience OR Associate’s + 4 years OR High School Diploma + 5 years relatable IT experience.
  • Experience supporting IT operations, projects, and customer success; technical skills in software development, application support, HL7 interfaces preferred.
  • Relevant IT experience in back-end revenue cycle processes.
  • Ability to handle confidential information, work under stress, prioritize tasks, and make independent decisions.
  • Must meet physical demands including walking, standing, lifting, and extended sitting.
  • Scheduled 40 hours/week, day shift, exempt; may require on-call and travel within WVUHS facilities.
