Location: Remote (USA), may require travel to West Virginia University Health System facilities

What you will do
- Diagnose and resolve IT issues, execute system modifications, testing, and optimizations for reliable functionality.
- Manage user security, data import/export, basic reporting, and identify opportunities for system enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business partners to align technical solutions with objectives.
- Coordinate projects including planning, scheduling, risk management, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
- Provide end-user support, training, and assess readiness to ensure effective system use.
- Stay current with industry trends and engage in continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field (or 4 years relevant experience)
- Relevant certifications within 90 days of training.
- Experience in business, clinical, or web application systems, workflows, and optimization.
- Proficiency in systems administration, clinical data management, HL7, FHIR, DICOM standards.
- Knowledge of cloud-based healthcare apps, reporting tools, and healthcare interoperability.
- Ability to travel to WVUHS facilities; frequent walking, standing, lifting required
Nice to have
- Operational experience in inpatient/outpatient clinical settings.
- Understanding of healthcare workflows and patient care processes.
