What you will do

• Act as a subject matter expert for tax implications related to ETF share classes and mutual funds.
• Support portfolio management in implementing tax-loss harvesting to optimize after-tax returns.
• Manage delivery of critical portfolio information including PFIC determinations and wash sale data.
• Coordinate annual and semiannual financial reporting cycles with independent auditors.
• Review workpapers for fiscal/excise tax provisions and shareholder year-end tax deliverables.
• Identify and implement process improvements using Alteryx, PowerBI, and other digital analytics.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Tax.
• 3-5 years of experience in the Investment Management industry.
• Working knowledge of US investment structures, specifically 1940 Act products.
• Deep understanding of ETF structures, including in-kind redemptions and rebalancing.
• Must be based in or able to work in Austin, USA

Nice to have

• CPA certification or being a CPA Candidate.
• Direct experience working with ETFs.
• Proficiency with tax technology tools such as Alteryx or PowerBI.
