Tax Principal (Financial Services)

What you will do

• Lead federal tax compliance and consulting services for financial institution clients, including banks and insurance companies.
• Manage client relationships and advise middle-market to multinational organizations on day-to-day tax matters.
• Consult on corporate tax issues and special projects, including FAS 109 and FIN 48.
• Research tax matters, respond to IRS and other tax authority inquiries, and develop client recommendations.
• Coordinate specialty tax support, oversee tax planning, staffing, billing, collections, and engagement profitability.
• Build new business, participate in proposals, lead market strategy, and recruit, develop, and retain tax professionals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s or advanced degree is desirable.
• CPA certification required.
• 11+ years of experience providing tax compliance and consulting services in a professional services firm.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience, including mentoring and counseling associates.
• Experience working with financial institution clients.
• Strong management, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project management, communication, software, and Microsoft Suite skills.
