Machinist III (Manufacturing)

Salary: $28.37 - $38.40 per hour

What you will do

• Operate and set up 5-axis CNC machines, manual mills, lathes, and Electrical Discharge Machines (EDM).
• Develop toolpaths and digital manufacturing plans (g-code) using Mastercam and maintain configuration management.
• Collaborate with R&D to mature additive manufacturing concepts, including WAAM and LPBF technologies.
• Fabricate new and replacement parts for mechanical equipment by interpreting blueprints and specifications.
• Perform precision measurements and develop custom fixtures for shop use.
• Monitor machine feed and speed, troubleshooting malfunctions to ensure high-quality production.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of experience with CNC set-up and operation in a machine shop or vocational environment.
• Must be located in the Lakehurst, NJ area.
• Proficiency with Mastercam and Fanuc control systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain customer security clearance for facility and system access.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a factory environment.

Nice to have

• Previous experience operating precision grinding machinery.
• Experience performing CNC programming.
