Volume Capture TD (Houdini/Python): Developing and optimizing volumetric data acquisition and processing pipelines with an accent on Houdini TOPs and custom Python tools. Location: Remote, but must be based in British Columbia, Canada, or be willing to relocate

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 a year

What you will do

• Integrate acquired volumetric data into Houdini TOPs networks.
• Build SOP networks to manipulate, analyze, and render volumetric data.
• Design and author complex Houdini TOPs networks to support scalable production workflows.
• Develop custom processors and pipeline tools using Houdini’s native Python modules.
• Partner with software development leads and pipeline teams to align on cross-department initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as an FX artist using Houdini in a production environment.
• 5+ years of experience writing Houdini pipeline code in Python.
• Strong understanding of Houdini, Solaris/USD, and Hydra render delegates.
• Experience with PDG/TOPs and building groom pipelines in Houdini.
• Must be based in British Columbia, Canada, or be willing to relocate.
• Working knowledge of Python scripting in Nuke.

Nice to have

• Experience with REZ and Gaussian splats.
• Familiarity with volumetric capture and virtual production workflows.
• Ability to design artist-friendly tools and write clear technical documentation.
