TL;DR
Senior 2D Compositor (Nuke/VFX): Integrating multiple layers and elements into live action shots with an accent on 2D tracking, matte extraction, and 2.5D camera projection. Focus on maintaining overall look and color balance for complex shots and sequences in a fast-paced production pipeline.
Location: Must be based in British Columbia, Canada. Remote work from home is available, but residency in BC is mandatory. All remote work must be performed on Pacific Standard Time (PST).
Salary: $50 - $65 per hour

What you will do
- Integrate multiple layers and elements into live action shots using Nuke.
- Perform 2D tracking, matte extraction, 2.5D camera projection, and color grading on difficult shots.
- Maintain clean and efficient script organization and follow the internal production pipeline.
- Collaborate with supervisors and artists across different disciplines to ensure quality.
- Address internal and external notes from supervisors and clients.
- Meet internal and external deadlines and deliveries within assigned hours.
Requirements
- Must reside in British Columbia, Canada.
- Proficiency in Nuke, including projection, CG integration, Nuke 3D workflow, and rig removal.
- Strong knowledge of 3D multi-pass rendering techniques and color space concepts.
- Expert eye for color and composition with the ability to take shots to final.
- English: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Reliable internet connection via ethernet for remote work.
Nice to have
- Working knowledge of Maya, Houdini, and/or Unreal.
- Python or scripting experience.
- Familiarity with Shotgun/Shotgrid.
- Past experience mentoring junior artists.
