What you will do

• Define and evolve the technical architecture for platform and product systems to ensure scalability and developer velocity.
• Design systems legible to AI agents and establish guardrails for LLM-integrated features, including prompt governance and latency budgets.
• Lead cross-functional design reviews and provide architectural guidance for high-impact, company-wide initiatives.
• Mentor senior engineers, embedding technical excellence and platform thinking throughout the organization.
• Identify and address technical debt, system bottlenecks, and reliability risks across various domains.
• Conduct research and proof-of-concepts for emerging technologies to enhance platform performance and maintainability.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering with a strong focus on architecture and system design.
• Expertise in modern languages such as JRuby, React, JavaScript, Python, Java, or Node.js.
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful API design, and monolith-to-microservices decomposition.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in database design and technologies including SQL, NoSQL, and Redis.
• Must be based in Brazil.

• Exposure to platform services like payments, billing, identity, or data APIs.
• Experience with compliance-sensitive domains such as PCI or SOC 2.
• Proven experience driving team efficiency through the strategic use of AI tools and automation.
