What you will do

• Lead the graphical evolution of new products from layout to final drawings, ensuring correct proportions and arrangement of components.
• Produce final 3D solid models and drawings independently to enable visualization and clearance checks.
• Collaborate with all functional disciplines to discuss design, drawing, and fabrication requirements.
• Support bid and proposal efforts for Engineering, Sales, and Program Management by providing layouts and assemblies.
• Organize and plan the necessary drawing sets, checking detail drawings for completeness and accuracy.
• Coordinate projects, participate in status review meetings, and provide level-of-effort estimates.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Engineering/Design with 3 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Comprehensive knowledge of drafting practices, machine shop practices, part fabrication, and geometric tolerancing.
• Strong proficiency in mechanical CAD (MCAD) tools.
• Understanding of material properties, stress and thermal effects, and kinematic mechanisms.
• Must be able to access U.S. export-controlled information.
• Must work onsite in Buffalo, NY.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with Siemens NX and Teamcenter PLM.
