Finance Manager - Americas

TL;DR

Finance Manager (Americas): Overseeing financial reporting, accounting, and compliance for the Americas region including US and Colombia operations with an accent on monthly P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, and SOX controls. Focus on improving finance processes, supporting audits, and leading the regional accounting team.

Hybrid with requirement to be in the Medellín office a few days each week (covers US, Colombia, Canada, Brazil)

What you will do

• Support and develop the Americas accounting team, including 2-3 direct reports.
• Lead monthly regional results including P&L, balance sheet, and commentary.
• Review and improve balance sheet reconciliations and finance processes.
• Support SOX controls, US GAAP reporting, local audits, and tax compliance.
• Ensure accounting aligns with GAAP and group policy; handle ad hoc tasks.

Requirements

• Excellent English language skills
• Qualified Accountant with 5+ years post-qualified experience in industry
• Excellent technical accounting skills
• Knowledge of US GAAP and reporting preferred, plus local Colombia accounting and tax
• Desire to learn and use Workday Financials
