Project Accountant

What you will do

• Track and record project costs, booking monthly accounting entries in line with internal policies.
• Prepare monthly project expense forecasts and communicate with Project Managers, Plant Controllers, and Finance Business Partners.
• Support month-end close with accruals, variance analysis, and project reporting.
• Manage purchase orders, commitments, invoice reviews, and payment follow-ups.
• Monitor budgets, cash flow, capitalization, write-offs, and capital vs. expense classifications.
• Participate in project meetings, provide financial updates, and ensure compliance with audit and control requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business, Economics, or Finance; master’s degree is an asset.
• Two or more years of experience in manufacturing accounting or finance, preferably supporting capital projects.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial systems, ERP platforms, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office.
• Proven analytical, organizational, and communication skills with ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
