What you will do

• Design, build, and operate high-availability, multi-region, cloud-native services with built-in security and observability.
• Develop event-driven architectures, multi-stage processing pipelines, and optimized data paths for high-throughput trade lifecycle management.
• Partner with engineers, domain experts, and global stakeholders to model and digitize business processes and drive modernization.
• Manage full software lifecycle from requirements to release using robust SDLC and Agile practices.
• Innovate solutions to complex problems, building reusable capabilities across Global Markets functions.
• Orchestrate AI coding agents to comprehend codebases, generate production-quality code, and accelerate delivery.

Requirements

• 8+ years professional software development in Java (Java 17+ preferred), strong concurrency, collections, modern features.
• Experience with AI-assisted tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Devin, Gemini Code Assist) to govern agents and ensure quality.
• Building event-driven distributed systems, messaging (Apache Kafka), resilience strategies.
• Strong SDLC: version control, CI/CD, automated workflows, code quality.
• Solid testing: unit, integration, acceptance with modern frameworks.
• Ability to navigate, understand, debug large codebases; excellent communication in distributed teams.

Nice to have

• Spring Boot, gRPC/Protocol Buffers, Apache Camel/Spring Integration, pipeline patterns.
• Cloud (GCP/AWS), Kubernetes/Docker, JVM tuning.
• Observability (metrics, tracing, logging), production support.
• Data modeling, SQL/NoSQL, caching, performance optimization.
• Security patterns, auth protocols, mTLS, secrets management.
• Equities/financial domain knowledge, trade lifecycle, migration experience.
