Salesforce Platform Engineer

TL;DR

Salesforce Platform Engineer (Backend): Own and govern the Salesforce platform including Apex, LWC, Flow, integrations, and DevOps pipelines with an accent on platform health, architecture, and delivery operations. Focus on designing scalable integrations, enforcing coding standards, mentoring engineers, and exploring emerging AI/Agentforce capabilities.

Location: Hybrid remote in Oregon (US), Madrid (Spain), London (UK), and Berlin (Germany)

What you will do

• Own technical health, design, and governance of the Salesforce platform including Apex, LWC, Flow, data and security models.
• Define and enforce coding standards, AI coding practices, and governor limit strategies.
• Lead release management, sandbox strategy, and DevOps/CI-CD pipelines.
• Design and oversee integrations with marketing automation, ERP, HR, and middleware systems.
• Drive adoption of new Salesforce features and emerging AI/Agentforce capabilities.
• Lead design reviews, technical RFCs, and mentor mid-to-senior engineers.

Requirements

• Hands-on Salesforce development experience with Apex, LWC, Flow, async processing, batch jobs, and triggers.
• Expertise in Salesforce data modeling, SOQL optimization, and handling large data volumes.
• Strong understanding of integration patterns including REST APIs, event streaming, and middleware.
• Experience with DevOps and CI-CD tooling such as Git strategy, scratch orgs, and deployment automation.
• Salesforce Platform Developer II and Administrator certifications required; advanced certifications preferred.
• Ability to communicate architecture clearly to non-technical stakeholders and lead design reviews.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Account Engagement and/or Marketing Cloud.
