What you will do

• Design and develop high-throughput, low-latency distributed backend services for optimal pricing solutions at scale.
• Implement robust caching mechanisms to enhance application performance and optimize resource utilization.
• Participate in system design, API design, and data modeling for scalable and reliable microservices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to break down complex problems into manageable milestones.
• Safely integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled solutions to improve real-world product outcomes.
• Contribute to technical documentation, architecture discussions, and detailed code reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 2+ years of relevant professional experience in backend software development.
• Hands-on experience with Java, Scala, Kotlin, or similar languages.
• Experience building scalable distributed systems and event-driven architectures using Kafka Streams or AWS Kinesis.
• Practical knowledge of caching technologies (Redis, Couchbase, Memcached) and relational/NoSQL databases.
• Must be based in or authorized to work in London, UK.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AWS cloud infrastructure, auto-scaling, and blue-green deployments.
• Experience building and maintaining SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs.
