Salary: $100,000–$140,000 annually

What you will do
- Lead policy agenda development, draft bill language, amendments, policy briefs, and build annual advocacy plans
- Manage legislative engagement, track bills and hearings, prepare testimony and briefing materials
- Build relationships with policymakers, agencies, charter leaders, and coalitions; map bipartisan support
- Produce research, data summaries, issue briefs, and narrative materials for advocacy
- Manage data systems, CRM tools, legislative dashboards, and operational accountability for policy execution
Requirements
- 7-10+ years in public policy, legislative advocacy, or government affairs with track record of advancing legislation
- Deep knowledge of Connecticut’s legislative process and education policy; experience drafting bills and testimony
- Strong policy writing, communication, political judgment, and project management skills
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in public policy, education, law preferred
- Commitment to educational equity and ability to thrive in fast-paced, political environments
