TL;DR

Director, Government & Regulatory Affairs: Advancing hirify.global policy priorities by building and maintaining relationships with federal officials, monitoring legislative and regulatory developments, and positioning hirify.global as a trusted resource with policymakers and industry stakeholders. Focus on translating complex financial services regulation into clear narratives, analyzing proposed SEC/FINRA/CFTC/Treasury actions, and coordinating strategy execution including comment letters, testimony, and external policy communications.

Location: DC-Home Office (Hybrid - Washington D.C.)

Salary: $180,000 - $190,000

What you will do

  • Develop and deepen relationships with Members of Congress, congressional staff, federal agency officials, and other key external stakeholders.
  • Monitor federal legislative and regulatory activity (including SEC, FINRA, CFTC, and Treasury) and assess potential impact on hirify.global and clients.
  • Analyze proposed rules and legislation and provide timely, actionable intelligence to senior leadership.
  • Support government affairs strategy development and execution, including drafting and reviewing comment letters, white papers, testimony, and briefing materials.
  • Coordinate with outside consultants and lobbying firms to support government affairs initiatives.
  • Collaborate across business units, legal, compliance, and communications to align policy positions and messaging.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in government relations, federal affairs, legislative affairs, or a related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of the financial services industry, securities regulation, and federal legislative and rulemaking processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships with senior government officials and congressional staff.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to distill complex regulatory and policy issues for diverse audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or JD strongly preferred.
  • Ability to anticipate policy developments and recommend proactive responses in a fast-paced environment.
