Salary: $180,000 - $190,000

What you will do
- Develop and deepen relationships with Members of Congress, congressional staff, federal agency officials, and other key external stakeholders.
- Monitor federal legislative and regulatory activity (including SEC, FINRA, CFTC, and Treasury) and assess potential impact on and clients.
- Analyze proposed rules and legislation and provide timely, actionable intelligence to senior leadership.
- Support government affairs strategy development and execution, including drafting and reviewing comment letters, white papers, testimony, and briefing materials.
- Coordinate with outside consultants and lobbying firms to support government affairs initiatives.
- Collaborate across business units, legal, compliance, and communications to align policy positions and messaging.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in government relations, federal affairs, legislative affairs, or a related field.
- Strong working knowledge of the financial services industry, securities regulation, and federal legislative and rulemaking processes.
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships with senior government officials and congressional staff.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to distill complex regulatory and policy issues for diverse audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or JD strongly preferred.
- Ability to anticipate policy developments and recommend proactive responses in a fast-paced environment.
