What you will do

• Build and evolve the Flights Search/Booking/PostBooking microservices platform powering billions of monthly searches.
• Optimize high-load systems to generate billions of itineraries in seconds.
• Provide technical guidance, deliver strategic improvements, and improve code architecture for maintainability.
• Mentor team members through code and architecture reviews to upgrade their skills.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to establish organizational alignment.
• Challenge the status quo by bringing new ideas to product and process development.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a senior engineering role driving technical work for other engineers.
• Strong expertise in Java and microservices architecture.
• Ability to successfully deliver high-complexity projects involving multiple stakeholders.
• Fluent English level required for working in a multicultural environment.
• Must be based in or be able to work hybridly from Barcelona, Madrid, or Porto.

Nice to have

• Experience with applied AI tools such as GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT.
