Senior Java Developer

What you will do

• Develop and maintain Java software components for a complex tax administration system.
• Implement taxation workflows covering tax declaration processing, calculations, and assessments.
• Integrate and test services connected to multiple external systems.
• Perform unit testing, troubleshoot issues, and participate in incident triage and prioritization.
• Estimate project efforts, contribute to product roadmaps, and collaborate with stakeholders and distributed teams.
• Support and optimize CI/CD processes.

Requirements

• 6+ years of Java development experience.
• Strong experience with Spring Framework and Quarkus.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or another relational database, REST/SOAP integrations, and messaging systems such as Kafka or ActiveMQ.
• Good understanding of software testing principles.
• Confident English communication and strong collaboration skills with stakeholders and distributed teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Angular front-end development.
• German or Swiss German language skills.
