Advisor License to Operate, Advisory & Oversight (Fintech): Ensuring a compliant and future-proof organization within the Markets division with an accent on regulatory requirements, risk & control frameworks, and governance. Focus on translating regulations into practical controls, monitoring end-to-end business processes, and delivering actionable management insights.

Location: Hybrid in Utrecht (NL). Must be currently living in and legally allowed to work in the EU / the Netherlands.

Salary: €4,931 – €7,043 per month

What you will do

  • Strengthen and continuously improve the Markets Utrecht risk & control framework in alignment with regional profiles.
  • Translate new and existing regulations (MiFID II, EMIR, Volcker, DFA) into practical risks and controls.
  • Oversee the effectiveness of end-to-end business processes, monitoring financial and non-financial risks.
  • Deliver sharp Management Information (MI) with actionable insights to support management decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Front Office, oversight functions, and external stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate swift actions and resolve urgent regulatory issues and incidents under tight deadlines.

Requirements

  • Strong experience and understanding of Markets Front Office, its products, and the broader value chain.
  • Recent professional experience within a financial institution.
  • Solid knowledge of key regulations such as MiFID II, EMIR, Volcker, and DFA.
  • Hands-on experience with risk management and applying Risk & Control Frameworks pragmatically.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior leadership.
  • Must be currently living in and legally allowed to work in the EU / the Netherlands.
