What you will do
- Manage day-to-day health & safety for staff and subcontractors, report incidents and near misses.
- Plan, coordinate and manage foremen, subcontractors, resources, plant, materials and labour.
- Produce method statements, work instructions, risk assessments and QA documentation.
- Liaise with clients, third parties, stakeholders, local councils, highway authorities and environment agencies.
- Support Construction and Project Managers with reporting, documentation, cost control and competencies.
- Ensure compliance with OHSAS 18001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
Requirements
- Demonstrable industry experience in similar role, preferably in civils, enabling works, access roads or power transmission projects.
- Recognised safety qualification such as IOSH or NEBOSH.
- Experience managing subcontractors and recording measurements for financial settlement.
- Supervisory experience in construction, traffic management, scaffolds, foundations or conductor works (desirable).
- Willingness to work away from home regularly and for prolonged periods.
- Proven coordination with third parties.
