Software Architect (Embedded Audio)

Salary: $125,250 - $183,700

What you will do

• Provide technical and applications support for audio and noise management projects for automotive OEM customers.
• Act as the first responder for embedded system issues found during development at the customer's location.
• Conduct audio system bench testing and verification activities at OEM or Tier-1 supplier sites.
• Manage technical specification discussions and coordinate support for activities requested by customers.
• Resolve complex issues occurring at the intersection of hardware and software.
• Integrate third-party software components and resolve resulting integration challenges.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in automotive electronic product development engineering, preferably in the audio industry.
• BSEE/BSCE in software, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with Qualcomm Hexagon DSP and Audio Weaver Audio Framework.
• Solid background in Digital Signal Processing (DSP), signal flow design, and digital filtering.
• Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded development (I2S/TDM, floating-point and fixed-point processing).
• Willingness to work in a hybrid format in Novi, MI and travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.

Nice to have

• Experience with vehicle networking (CAN, MOST) and diagnostics (UDS, KWP2000).
• Familiarity with ASPICE traceability requirements.
• Experience with HW instruments like oscilloscopes, signal generators, and embedded debug tools.
