Software Engineer - Radar

Salary: $115,000 - $140,000

What you will do

• Use real radar data to characterize system performance and improve algorithms through tuning and development.
• Develop and maintain C++ software for radar components including signal processing, detection, tracking, and control.
• Prototype and evaluate algorithms using Python and/or MATLAB, then transition to production C++ code.
• Mature data pipeline and design visualization tools.
• Support integration and testing of radar software in lab and field environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, robotics, or related engineering field.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship; may require obtaining and maintaining U.S. government security clearance.
• Ability to design experiments, define metrics, and draw data-driven conclusions.
• Experience using Python for data analysis, prototyping, or visualization.
• Experience with real-time data and familiarity with state estimation or related algorithms.
• Understanding of object-oriented software design practices.
• Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly, verbally and in writing.
• Occasional travel (<10%).

Nice to have

• 2+ years experience with digital signal processing and noisy signals.
• Understanding of radar and RF technology.
• Experience with point cloud sensor data.
• Hands-on tuning Kalman filters or modern control systems.
• Experience with robotics middleware (ROS/ROS2).
