TL;DR
Data Governance Lead for Enterprise (Data Governance): Establishing and maintaining enterprise-wide data governance practices, including frameworks, policies, standards, and the enterprise data dictionary, with an accent on data quality, metadata accuracy, ownership, and lifecycle management. Focus on designing governance processes, resolving data definition and ownership issues, and embedding standards across business and technology teams.

Location: Taguig, National Capital Region (Manila), Philippines

What you will do

  • Design, implement, and continuously improve the enterprise data governance framework.
  • Lead data governance initiatives in alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and IT strategy.
  • Own and maintain the enterprise data dictionary, including definitions, business rules, and metadata.
  • Develop and enforce standards for creating, approving, updating, and retiring data elements.
  • Partner with data owners, data stewards, analytics teams, and technical stakeholders to improve data practices.
  • Facilitate governance forums and resolve data definition, ownership, and usage issues across stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or related disciplines.
  • Experience creating and maintaining data dictionaries or metadata repositories.
  • Strong experience developing and implementing data governance policies and standards.
  • Understanding of data lifecycle management, data quality concepts, and data stewardship models.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.

Nice to have

  • Experience in an Information Technology organization or enterprise data environment.
  • Familiarity with data governance tools, metadata management platforms, or data catalog solutions.
  • Knowledge of data privacy, security, retention, and other regulatory considerations.
  • DAMA-DMBOK, CDMP, or other relevant certifications.
