Location: Manila, Philippines; hybrid working arrangement with 2 days working from home

What you will do

• Identify, assess, source, and onboard high-value data with internal stakeholders and application product teams.
• Ensure data ingestion and usage comply with legal, regulatory, ethical, sovereignty, contractual, and customer requirements.
• Maintain data governance evidence, policies, procedures, frameworks, and standards for accuracy, completeness, lineage, and permissible use.
• Curate the data catalogue and dictionary, manage metadata and taxonomies, and improve data discoverability and reuse.
• Respond to data requests and sample validation inquiries within 1 business day, extracting data and coordinating quality issue resolution.
• Advise product, engineering, legal, and data science stakeholders while identifying AI-powered tools and automation opportunities.

Requirements

• Experience in data stewardship, data governance, or data operations, preferably in a technology organization.
• Ability to define data scope and requirements and steward data from complex application environments through ingestion into destinations.
• Understanding of GDPR, CCPA, data contracts, and data usage governance.
• Strong knowledge of metadata management, data cataloging tools, and data quality practices.
• Working knowledge of data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, or equivalent.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work autonomously, prioritize work, and advise product and engineering teams.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AI and automation tools that improve data management efficiency and scalability.
• Experience developing data onboarding and stewardship playbooks.
