TL;DR
Lead Data Engineer (Fintech): Design and optimize data pipelines that ingest source-system data into data warehouses with an accent on SQL, ETL development, data quality, and AWS integrations. What you will do
- Design and develop data pipelines that ingest data from source systems into the data warehouse.
- Support and optimize existing pipelines to meet downstream service-level agreements.
- Deliver data-ingestion initiatives within an Agile Tribe and participate in Agile ceremonies.
- Maintain data quality across data warehouse tables.
- Apply engineering standards covering version history, readability, extensibility, testing, deployments, and post-deployment support.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related IT field.
- 4–6 years of experience in IT project delivery or data development delivery, particularly in data warehousing or business intelligence.
- Strong SQL and ETL development experience.
- Experience with AWS data integrations including Glue and Athena, as well as AWS MSK, Spark, Databricks, Delta Lake, data lakes, Kafka, and Confluent.
- Knowledge of data modeling, data integrations, data quality, data architecture, real-time processing, and data streaming.
Nice to have
- Experience with Big Data, Hadoop, EMR, Hive, and cloud environments.
- Proficiency in Python, R, Java, or Scala.
