TL;DR

Sr. Occupancy Planner: Delivering strategic and tactical space planning expertise for client's real estate portfolio with an accent on occupancy analysis, layout options, and utilization metrics. Focus on developing stacking plans, managing relocations and restacks, and maintaining space data accuracy in CAFM systems.

Location: Must live in VA, MD, DC or ET Zone. Primarily office-based with regular on-site requirements for moves and site visits; up to 20% travel.

What you will do

  • Develop site-level occupancy plans including headcount forecasts, stacking plans, and scenario modeling.
  • Lead strategic efforts like migration plans, restacks, consolidations, and relocations.
  • Analyze space utilization via site walks and tools to identify efficiency opportunities.
  • Create layouts and floor plans using AutoCAD; manage moves with Facilities and vendors.
  • Maintain CAFM/IWMS systems (iOffice, TRIRIGA) and ensure data accuracy through audits.
  • Provide utilization reports, present recommendations, and collaborate with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Must live in VA, MD, DC or ET Zone; flexibility for evenings/weekends and quick response to requests.
  • Bachelor’s in Architecture, Interior Design, Facilities Management, Real Estate or related; or 10+ years experience.
  • 5-7+ years in occupancy planning, space management, or corporate real estate.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, CAFM/IWMS (iOffice preferred), advanced Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP), Power BI/Tableau.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; experience with BOMA standards.
  • US work eligibility; pass background, drug test, education/reference checks.

Nice to have

  • Certifications in CAFM, AutoCAD, LEED, IFMA, or CoreNet.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and leading presentations.
