Qualitative Research Consultant (Liberia)

Qualitative Research Consultant (Liberia): Analyze qualitative data from malaria vaccine rollout and community health worker engagement with an accent on developing coding frameworks, identifying themes, and tracking changes in knowledge, perceptions, and behaviors over time. Focus on synthesizing insights into evidence-based findings, visualizations, comparative analysis, and actionable recommendations for program strategies.

Location: Remote with preference for GMT timezone

What you will do

• Review existing formative study data and newly collected summative transcripts from FGDs and KIIs.
• Develop and refine coding framework in Dedoose, review with Liberia MERL staff.
• Code data, identify patterns/themes, record memos/quotes, and conduct analysis.
• Visualize findings, present slide deck to staff, and iterate based on feedback.
• Write comparative analysis of baseline vs. later data on vaccine-related changes.
• Produce project brief with program details, findings, and recommendations.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Global Health, Epidemiology, social science research, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience in qualitative research, including Dedoose.
• Progressive experience in research and evaluation in global health NGO work.
• Strong skills in writing, analysis, data visualization, graphic design, and user-friendly technical writing.

Nice to have

• Experience with community health worker programming.
