What you will do

• Develop optical approaches from concept to prototype aligned with personalized medicine mission.
• Collaborate with data scientists and bioclinicians to meet customer requirements.
• Analyze and interpret experimental data to align implementations with performance goals.
• Stay current with advancements in applied physics, optics, and spectroscopy for clinical use.
• Communicate findings across disciplines and contribute to publications, patents, and conferences.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in applied physics, optics, photonics or related fields for real-world interdisciplinary experiments.
• Proven lab experience, ideally with data scientists and engineers.
• Experience designing, building, and optimizing optical instruments or methods.
• Proficiency in optical simulations and data analysis using Python, Julia or similar.
• PhD in Nanoscience, Physics, Physical Chemistry or related; +3 years experience in experimental interdisciplinary science.
• Track record in scientific publications and team collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience developing and verifying optical/spectroscopy methods.
• Previous collaborations with data scientists, bioclinical researchers or engineers.
• Supervising junior scientists.
