Salary: $195,000 - $293,000 USD Annual

What you will do
- Turn broad strategy into bounded engineering bets that can be shaped, staffed, and delivered.
- Lead first reusable cross-product platform capabilities reducing friction across systems like Somnoware, VirtuOx, Brightree, and DHP services.
- Build and lead a lean senior team in San Diego focused on clarity, technical judgment, and delivery.
- Collaborate with Product Management and engineering leaders to align business intent with implementation.
- Advance AI-native ways of working using software agents and modern tooling in delivery.
Requirements
- Location: San Diego, CA based
- 10+ years software engineering experience and 5+ years leading teams in ambiguous environments.
- Hands-on experience in modern backend/platform systems: Java, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, cloud-native services.
- Experience evolving platforms: monolith decomposition, scalability, resiliency, observability, security.
- Strong fundamentals: testing, source control, PRs, releases, documentation, automated gates.
- Ability to contribute to architecture, design, prototyping, decomposition, and implementation.
- Experience with AI tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude Code in real delivery.
