TL;DR

Strategy & Business Development Director (Autonomous Maritime Platforms): Leading the formulation of strategy and business development for autonomous maritime initiatives with an accent on cultivating US Government customers and industry partners. Focus on developing capture teams for new programs, managing investment funds, and executing long-range strategic plans for unmanned systems.

Location: U.S. citizenship is required. Position is home-sited in the Quincy, MA area, Washington DC, or Remote.

Salary: $262,670 – $284,217 per year

What you will do

  • Develop and execute business strategies to grow market share within the unmanned maritime systems market (UxV).
  • Lead the capture process for new programs, cultivating partnerships with the US Navy, DARPA, and other government agencies.
  • Formulate long-range strategic plans and manage allocated annual investment funds.
  • Identify and integrate AI applications for continuous innovation and improvement of offerings.
  • Analyze competitor pricing, market trends, and customer preferences to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and promotional activities to market products and services.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • DoD Secret security clearance is preferred; Top Secret or TS/SCI is a major plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 15+ years of leadership experience, or a Master's degree with 13+ years.
  • Proven experience in business development, systems engineering, and government contracting procedures.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to rapidly grasp advanced technologies.
  • Ability to travel 40%-50% of the time to customer sites.

Nice to have

  • Existing relationships with NAVSEA, NAVWAR, OPNAV, SECNAV, PEO USC, PEO SUBS, PAE RAS, DARPA, ONR, DIU, SCO, and NUWC.
  • Experience with both government acquisition and transactional product sales.
  • Deep knowledge of undersea and surface unmanned maritime vehicle (UxV) technologies.
