What you will do

• Define Next.js architecture patterns, playbooks, reference implementations, reusable templates, starter kits, and migration tools.
• Establish standards for deployment, monitoring, and performance optimization; lead workshops, training, and create documentation.
• Conduct technical discovery, assess architectures, create migration strategies, perform hands-on migrations and refactoring.
• Advise on rendering strategies (SSR, SSG, ISR), authentication, caching, CDN, and best practices; document lessons learned.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success on feedback, scoping, success criteria, and post-launch guidance.

Requirements

• Location: Must be in United States, Vancouver, BC, or Toronto, ON, Canada
• Visa sponsorship not available; E-Verify for US employment eligibility
• 5+ years production experience with Next.js (App Router, Server Components), React, TypeScript
• Expertise in rendering strategies (SSR, SSG, ISR), performance, caching, deployment (Vercel, containerized)
• 5+ years with Drupal or WordPress (headless/decoupled, CMS APIs REST/GraphQL)
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, DevOps, web security; experience in solution architecture, migrations, professional services
• Excellent communication, consultative skills, strategic thinking, mentoring experience
