What you will do

• Collaborate with teams to design hardware solutions meeting performance, capacity, scalability, and reliability requirements.
• Evaluate and recommend hardware technologies, develop architecture diagrams, specifications, and implementation plans.
• Implement and configure servers, storage arrays, network switches, and manage firmware/drivers.
• Integrate hardware with other components, conduct testing, validation, and compatibility checks.
• Perform maintenance, upgrades, monitoring of hardware health, and maintain documentation.

Requirements

• Must be located in Ohio, USA for remote work.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in hardware engineering with deep expertise in IBM Z (z/OS, z/VM, z/VSE), LPAR sizing, PR/SM, processor provisioning.
• Expertise in disaster recovery (GDPS, sysplex HA/DR, RPO/RTO), infrastructure diagrams, capacity models, migration strategies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication skills; proficient in hardware tools and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
