What you will do

• Lead a team of 5-10 engineers, managing growth, wellbeing, and the full performance cycle through structured 1:1s.
• Own delivery processes, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and roadmap trade-offs in collaboration with Product Managers.
• Drive technical health by partnering with the Tech Lead on architectural direction, observability, and quality standards.
• Guide the team through a live monolith-to-microservices migration and a frontend re-platform (BLAST).
• Lead the shift to AI-first engineering, coaching engineers to utilize AI coding tools and a generate-and-review model.
• Contribute to the wider organization by shaping hiring standards and participating in engineering guilds.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience managing engineering teams of 5+ people in high-growth environments.
• Proven track record of building hiring pipelines from scratch and developing engineers from mid to staff levels.
• Strong software engineering background with the ability to lead discussions on systems design, API design, and data modelling.
• Working knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, event-driven patterns, and CI/CD.
• Remote-first leadership experience, managing trust and cohesion across multiple timezones.
• Ability to work within EMEA and Americas timezones.

Nice to have

• Experience with legacy modernization and monolith decomposition strategies.
• Background in revenue management, dynamic pricing, or B2B SaaS for enterprise hospitality.
• Hands-on knowledge of Java/Spring Boot, TypeScript/React, Next.js, GraphQL, MongoDB, and AWS.
• Exposure to ML or data-intensive systems, including real-time analytics and pricing optimization.
