Manufacturing Engineer

TL;DR

Manufacturing Engineer (Electronics): Providing technical support to contract manufacturers for assembly processes and ECN implementation with an accent on troubleshooting production issues and quality standards. Focus on managing the interface between NPI Ops and CM partners to drive operational improvements and resolve manufacturing defects.

Location: Onsite in Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia. Candidates must be local; no relocation or visa sponsorship provided.

What you will do

• Support contract manufacturers (CM) in executing assembly processes and implementing Engineering Change Orders (ECO).
• Troubleshoot production issues to ensure adherence to quality standards and on-time delivery.
• Act as the primary point of contact for process/assembly escalations and authorize deviations.
• Coordinate with NPI Ops and Engineering teams during the release of new assemblies or revisions.
• Collaborate with CM partners to drive continuous operational improvements.
• Interact with field teams to incorporate quality feedback into production improvements.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in complex box build assembly.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings; proficiency in SolidWorks is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interface with technology and engineering departments.
• Must be local to the position location; no visa sponsorship available.
