Supplier Lead (Aerospace)

TL;DR

Supplier Lead (Aerospace): Managing and optimizing relationships with assigned suppliers to ensure operational requirements are met for all sites with an accent on risk mitigation, performance evaluation, and purchase order management. Focus on resolving complex supply chain issues, improving lead times, and supporting New Product Introduction (NPI).

Location: Hybrid - Must be based in Torrance, CA (3 days/week in office)

Salary: $80,000–$110,000 Annually

What you will do

• Develop and manage effective supplier relationships to achieve business requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Manage purchase orders to ensure current and verified delivery information.
• Lead problem-solving activities to resolve issues affecting supplier relationships and supply chain performance.
• Support supplier selection, development, and New Product Introduction (NPI).
• Identify and pursue improvements in quality, cost, delivery, and lead times.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, or business.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in manufacturing or engineering, preferably Aerospace.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions and geographic regions.
• Must have access to U.S. export-controlled information.
• Flexibility with working hours to coordinate with teams in different time zones.

Nice to have

• Certification in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Program Management.
• Master’s degree in business or engineering.
• Engineering or technical background combined with Project/Program Management experience.
• Strong negotiating skills and knowledge of procurement and contractual law.
