TL;DR

Claims Examiner II (Insurance): Resolution of moderate complexity Workers Compensation claims across multiple jurisdictions with an accent on coverage analysis and loss investigation. Focus on evaluating liability, drafting coverage positions, and managing bodily injury and property damage claims.

Location: Hybrid (3 days office / 2 days remote) in multiple US locations. Must have US Work Authorization (no visa sponsorship provided).

Salary: $62,400 – $85,800 (National average) + 12% incentive

What you will do

  • Analyze coverage and communicate positions through formal coverage position letters.
  • Coordinate and direct investigations into loss facts and the extent of damages.
  • Evaluate coverage, liability, and damages to determine the insured's total exposure.
  • Handle litigated and non-litigated property damage and bodily injury claims up to $250,000.
  • Manage smaller product liability and construction defect claims.
  • Set reserves within authority and represent the company in mediations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Must have or be eligible to receive a claims adjuster license.
  • Successful completion of basic insurance courses or achievement of industry designations (e.g., INS, IEA, AIC, ARM, SCLA, CPCU).
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience in commercial construction or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry or claims handling.
  • Valid US Work Authorization is required; no sponsorship is available.
