• Set goals and objectives for the development of new instrumentation and support existing products.
• Design precision mechanisms and complex assemblies using machined, molded, and sheet-metal components.
• Provide general oversight to teams performing planning, documentation, prototyping, and testing.
• Contribute to the development of technical requirements and specifications for new instrumentation.

Requirements

• Experience in the design of precision mechanisms and complex assemblies.
• Ability to work within R&D, light-manufacturing, and engineering office environments.
• Must be based in or able to work in Gaithersburg, MD, USA (Hybrid setup).
• Physical ability to sit and stand for long periods and operate technical tools.
