What you will do

• Design, prototype, and develop new medical devices and components.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams as a project leader.
• Create detailed documentation packages including CAD drawings, product specifications, and risk analysis.
• Execute testing, interpret results, and communicate findings through engineering reports.
• Identify and collaborate with vendors for the development of new products.
• Integrate new technologies into existing and future product lines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering (or related discipline).
• 5+ years of experience in R&D Engineering or Product Development within the medical device industry.
• Proven experience solving hands-on, multi-disciplinary technical design problems.
• Strong engineering acumen and mechanical intuition demonstrated via a portfolio.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills for conveying complex issues.
• Willingness and ability to work on site in Alameda, CA.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering.
• Experience with endovascular, electromechanical, or implantable devices.
