Software Engineer, AV HIL Platform and Services (Autonomous Vehicles): Develop and scale high-fidelity Hardware-in-Loop validation platforms to test AV software prior to deployment with an accent on capabilities, fidelity, observability, and scale of HIL platform and integration services. Focus on delivering reliable software through requirements generation, continuous integration, automated testing, issue tracking, code reviews, and collaboration across AV teams including Embodied AI, Model Deployment, and Vehicle Integration.

Location: Hybrid in Sunnyvale, California - expected to report to specific location at least 3 times a week

Salary: $123,000 to $190,000

What you will do

• Develop software to enhance capabilities, fidelity, observability, and scale of HIL Platform and Integration services
• Deliver reliable software via requirements generation, continuous integration, automated testing, issue tracking, and code reviews
• Collaborate closely with teams in Embodied AI, Model Deployment, Middleware, OS, Sensor Applications, and Vehicle Integration
• Execute complex projects through incremental development

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience writing production-quality software
• Strong system fundamentals and coding abilities in Python and C++
• Understanding of designing high-performant software components
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Experience developing in a Linux environment
• BS, MS or PhD in CS or related technical field

Nice to have

• Experience optimizing/evaluating complex software systems on dedicated hardware
• Experience with ROS architectures
• Experience with low latency or real-time systems
• Experience in the AV industry
• Experience with SQL
• Experience with large build systems like Bazel
