Location: Onsite in Gaithersburg, Maryland, USA (laboratory bench work required, up to 70% of time)

Salary: $128,300 - $200,500 annually

What you will do

• Independently design and execute experiments for research, feasibility, and product development.
• Analyze data using statistical software, prepare reports, and present findings to peers and managers.
• Troubleshoot and optimize experiments, procure reagents, and maintain detailed lab records.
• Conduct literature and market research, support patent applications and grant proposals.
• Supervise direct reports, set performance goals, and provide feedback.
• Communicate results to teams, management, and customers; take on additional R&D support roles.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Life Sciences, Engineering or related field preferred; Master's +6 years or Bachelor's +7 years of independent research experience.
• Supervisory/management experience desired; strong publication record desired.
• Strong scientific fundamentals, problem-solving, analytical skills, and statistics knowledge required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work in laboratory environment with BSL-2 materials, including human blood products.
• Must be authorized to work in the US (E-Verify used).

Nice to have

• Postdoctoral or industrial experience.
