What you will do
- Maintain high-voltage distribution systems, motor starters, and associated equipment up to 13KV overhead and underground.
- Install and maintain low-voltage systems up to 110V AC/48V DC, including conduit, wire, lighting, and electrical devices.
- Install and maintain Programmable Logic Controller systems (Allen-Bradley SLC and PLC-5).
- Perform installation, calibration, and repairs on belt scale systems (Milltronics BW 500 and Universal Belt Scale).
- Work in safety-sensitive environments with extreme weather, uneven surfaces, noise, fumes, and heavy machinery; adhere to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Able to work now and in the future without BNSF’s assistance in obtaining employment authorization (no sponsorship for H-1B, STEM OPT/CPT, or TN)
- At least 18 years old by 06/01/2026 start date
- Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to report to Superior, WI
- Able to work Monday-Friday 10-hour shifts, overtime, nights, weekends, holidays, on-call; travel required during training.
- Able to lift 50 pounds, work at heights, in confined spaces, climb ladders, use hand/power tools; distinguish colors and sounds.
- Basic computer skills, read/write/speak English; union membership required (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers).
