Lightning Protection Technician

TL;DR

Lightning Protection Technician: Perform inspections, repairs, and installations of lightning protection systems on commercial buildings with an accent on working at heights, safety protocols, and physical labor. Onsite in Norcross, GA. U.S. Persons only required due to ITAR export controls. Regional travel (primarily GA, TN, FL) and occasional nationwide.

Salary: $25.00 - $30.00/hour (full-time day shift)

What you will do

• Perform inspections, repairs, and installations of lightning protection systems on commercial buildings including flat roofs, office towers, and skyscrapers.
• Write detailed inspection and repair reports.
• Safely climb ladders, access roofs, and work at heights using hand tools like wrenches and drills.
• Communicate professionally with project managers and clients.
• Work independently or in small field teams to meet project schedules.
• Follow OSHA and company safety protocols during field and office work.

Requirements

• U.S. Person status required (citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) due to ITAR export controls.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–5 years work experience preferred; open to motivated candidates with less or new graduates.
• Comfortable working at heights on roofs and climbing ladders; physically able to lift 50 lbs and perform labor in inclement weather.
• Valid driver’s license meeting company standards; able to travel primarily southeastern U.S.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, email).
• Pass physical exam, background check, drug screening, and obtain security clearance for military bases.
