Telecommunication Engineer

What you will do

• Own day-to-day operations of telephony, SMS/RCS, email, and WhatsApp channels using providers like Voximplant, Vonage, Twilio.
• Build and optimize routing logic for calls, voicemail, transfers, and integrations with CRM via APIs, webhooks, WebSockets.
• Handle internal support tickets, incident management, and collaborate with QA on testing telecom components.
• Support agency acquisitions by assessing telecom stacks, number porting, migrations, and process automation.
• Monitor service health, spam ratings, and drive continuous improvements with AI tools.

Requirements

• Fluency in English with strong communication skills.
• Higher degree education.
• Strong understanding of telephony systems, SIP, trunks, routing logic, VoIP operations.
• Experience troubleshooting telecom incidents across voice, SMS, email, messaging.
• Work with APIs, logs, JSON, webhooks, provider documentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Twilio, Vonage, Voximplant.
• UK number porting experience.
• WABA operational knowledge.
• Email deliverability and blacklist management.
• SQL and spreadsheet analysis.
• Contact centre or high-volume communications experience.
