Salary: $155,000 – $180,000 per year

What you will do

• Own the full lifecycle of API design and development, from schema modeling to versioned rollout and deprecation.
• Lead API evolution efforts to reduce redundancy, optimize payload size, and improve usability for the Find Care platform.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications and hands-on codebase contributions.
• Develop and evolve data pipelines and transformation workflows supporting API and flat file delivery.
• Drive system performance and scalability improvements as data volume and product complexity grow.
• Mentor engineers and establish best practices for reliability, observability, testing, and data quality.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in the US
• Strong coding skills in Python or NodeJS for high-availability API development.
• Experience designing and operating large-scale data systems and pipelines.
• Proficiency with orchestration and infrastructure tools such as Apache Airflow, Docker, Kubernetes, or Terraform.
• Deep experience designing external-facing RESTful APIs, including versioning and pagination.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and CI/CD platforms like CircleCI.

Nice to have

• Experience with ElasticSearch.
• Knowledge of healthcare data domains or customer-facing data delivery systems.
• Experience with ETL/API design.
