What you will do

• Design and build automated data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Improve data quality, validation, and monitoring across production systems.
• Develop internal tooling to accelerate engineering workflows and reduce manual operations.
• Optimize storage, query performance, and data modeling using PostgreSQL and BigQuery.
• Collaborate across the organization to build scalable data solutions and participate in architecture discussions.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements across data systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend or data engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL (specifically PostgreSQL and BigQuery).
• Proven experience designing and maintaining automated data pipelines and quality frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Must be based in the USA.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Go.
• Experience with large-scale data stores like CouchDB or CockroachDB.
• Background in health insurance or claims processing.
• Experience with Terraform or Terraform Cloud.
• Previous experience working in a startup environment.
