What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and REST APIs using Python and Django.
• Develop and optimize data storage with PostgreSQL and Redis for reliability and performance.
• Implement Elasticsearch for search and analytics on large datasets.
• Architect distributed systems, asynchronous task queues with Celery, and background workers for high-throughput, low-latency workloads.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize services for scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with frontend, QA, DevOps, and product teams; document designs, APIs, and runbooks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience developing and maintaining backend systems in production.
• Strong expertise in Python and Django.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL (schema design, query optimization).
• Experience with Redis for caching, message queues, or real-time data.
• Reside in US or Canada.
