Location: Washington DC based position; periodic domestic and international travel required
Salary: $300,000 - $400,000

What you will do
- Lead the government and regulatory affairs team to identify and prioritize legislative and political risks at federal and state levels.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key legislators in Congress, State Capitals, and regulators to advance business objectives.
- Formulate public policy advocacy strategies in coordination with business leaders, legal, and compliance staff.
- Manage a network of external public policy lobbyists and coordinate with trade associations, alliances, and think tanks.
- Advise C-suite executives and business unit leaders on government engagement and public policy initiatives.
- Oversee compliance with Lobby Disclosure and FEC reporting requirements and manage the corporate PAC.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in government relations and public policy within the financial services or data industry.
- Significant leadership experience within a publicly traded organization.
- Deep knowledge of laws governing lobbying, campaign finance, and governmental ethics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Business Administration, or Public Policy (Master’s or Law degree preferred).
- Must be based in Washington DC.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting recommendations to C-Suite executives.
