TL;DR

Director Global Trade Compliance Infrastructure & Operations: Build and run the operating backbone of Trade Compliance including processes, execution model, and governance with an accent on scaling global operations and enabling expert teams to focus on high-value decisions. Focus on designing scalable workflows, driving standardization and automation with AI tooling, and leading a team of 10-12 professionals.

Location: Eindhoven, Netherlands or Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Relocation package and support available for move to the Netherlands.

What you will do

  • Own and scale the global Trade Compliance operating model, ensuring smooth workflows from intake to execution and escalation.
  • Drive standardization, automation, and continuous improvement, partnering with IT for system integrations and AI-enabled tooling.
  • Lead and develop a team of 10–12 professionals across operations enablement, process/automation, and assurance.
  • Ensure quality, control, audit readiness, and collaborate with Export Controls, Customs, Legal, Strategy, IT, and business units.

Requirements

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Leadership experience in trade compliance, regulatory operations, risk management, or global operations with cross-regional scope.
  • Proven track record building or transforming operating models, shared services, or global execution teams.
  • Experience in matrix environments, systems thinking, influencing stakeholders, and leading transformation in complex settings.
